Why isn’t my candle scent strong ?
Many candles are made with paraffin wax that offer a stronger scent throw. At Peace De Tauro our candles are made with soy wax. Due to soy wax’s unbinding or slow binding nature, it can be difficult for soy wax to release scent. With paraffin wax, the fragrance oil is able to bond better, but paraffin wax burns faster than soy wax. This is because paraffin wax is not as dense as soy wax. Density may be the biggest factor why paraffin wax bonds better with fragrance . At Peace De Tauro, we believe burning oil at a uncontrollable rate is bad for our health and our environment.
What Peace De Tauro decided to do was add vegetable stearic acid to soy wax. Vegetable stearic acid makes the soy wax harder which do multiple things like: increase burn time, control the rate of the fragrance oil released, and retain scent that soy wax alone wont offer.
Our candles are one wick candles, which means our candles are also not burning the fragrance oil at a faster rate. Peace De Tauro believes this helps decrease toxins for our health and in our environment.

Why is my candle tunneling?
Prior to your purchase or before you light your candle observe if your candle has a hole by the wick. This is the biggest indicator that there is a sink whole and the candle may tunnel. After you light your candle be sure to allow the candle to create a melting pool or your candle will tunnel. Since these are slow burning candles allow 30 minutes to an 1 hour of burning time when you light your Discovery candle for the first time. If the tunneling begins with the first light and does not create a melting pool then likely there may have been an error in the production process. If so please contact us right away so we can start your return process.
Why are my candles discolored?
Soy wax candles are natural candles, which mean they will react to additional chemicals or other modifications such as heating. This is a good indicator that your candle is indeed a soy wax candle. This discoloration will not effect the performance of your Peace De Tauro candle.
Why do my candles have rough or frosted tops ?
Soy wax candles are capable of reacting naturally because they are a natural product. Frosting is an indicator that your product is natural and it will not effect the function of your candle. Even if a candle does not frost it is not an indicator the product is not natural. Every candle may vary.
What materials are Peace De Tauro’s t-shirts made out of ?
Our shirts are 100% cotton. This may be subject to change in the future depending upon customer preference.
Should I consider buying my t-shirt a size up or down ?
This may depend on the look you are going for, however we do see most customers buy a size up as our t-shirts run on the smaller side.
